Stitch Fiddle Experimentation
Stitch Fiddle is an online pattern making tool for crochet, knitting and cross stitch. Today I was experimenting with the cross stitch patterns. You can take a photo and make it into a pattern. At first I choose photos with lots of colours and details and ended up with very large patterns such as the one pictured below of the Piece Hall in Halifax.

Then I tried smaller less detailed photos which worked a bit better. I concluded that cartoons probably work best with this feature.
With Stitch Fiddler you can even choose the brand of floss you are going to use so you can get colours accurate to the picture.
I then tried to make my own pattern to cross stitch and ended up making a very basic fan looking cross stitch but hopefully I will get better and will no longer have to rely on others for cross stitch patterns!
Comment below if you want another one of my more successful cross stitch patterns. Byeee.
