Pixel art on Google play
I wanted to try pixel art and combine this with my new adventure into making cross stitch patterns. So I went onto google play to see if I could do this by my phone.
When you search pixel art on Google play the first few that come up are for a paint by numbers sort of thing. Once I got past these ones I tried pixel studio, which seemed to work quite well until I tried to export my work It worked the first time but after that I simply could not get it to save to my phone (or it may be saved to my phone but very well hidden!).
Above is a very quick picture of a cat I made in 8bit painter.
The next one I tried was 8bit painter which works very well although all your canvasses have to be perfect squares and you cannot choose a random size it goes up in increments starting from 16x16 to 128x128. There was no exporting issue with this app so this is the one I have chosen to do my drawings on which I eventually plan to make into cross stitches (which I then eventually plan to sell on etsy when I am very good at it).
8bit painter is the app I would reccomend if you wish to export your images. If you do not wish to export your images and want the option to change your canvas size to which ever size suits you I would reccomend pixel studio as 8bit painter is a bit simplistic, although, simplicity can be inspiring.
